The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation has announced that they have received a donation of $25,000 from Somerville Nursereis Inc. to go towards the ‘Because of you, We Can’ campaign for redevelopment at Stevenson Memorial Hospital.

Somerville Nurseries, located in Everett, is a family-owned business that has been growing Christmas trees in Simcoe and Dufferin County since 1950. Somerville Nurseries is the largest Christmas tree producer in Ontario as well as a major supplier of larger landscape nursery stock and seedlings.

The Somervillle family have been entrepreneurs in the region for several generations.

“Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation thanks the Somerville family for donating this generous gift,” said Mary Thomas, CEO of the SMHF. “The support for Stevenson is a testament to their investment in our local hospital’s redevelopment for residents of New Tecumseth and surrounding areas.”

The ‘Because of You, We Can’ campaign is the largest campaign in SMHF’s history, supporting the redevelopment of Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
