Four organizations in the region have received support from the provincial government through the Ontario Trillium Foundation Resilient Communities grant program.
In total, the program is providing $618,900 to the recipients.
Recipients are:
• Tuff Therapeutic Riding Foundation – $179,000
• Contact Community Services – $151,600
• Living Better With Parkinson’s – $88,500
• Clearview Township – $199,000
“Our government believes organizations such as these enrich the lives of people in Simcoe-Grey and play an important role in building strong, inclusive and resilient communities in Ontario,” said Brian Saunderson, MPP for Simcoe-Grey. “That’s why I am proud that they are each receiving this funding support. These organizations are each pillars in their communities and these grants will enable them to better serve their populations and continue to make a positive difference.”
The Ontario Trillium Foundation’s mission is to build healthy and vibrant communities across Ontario. As an agency of the Government of Ontario and one of Canada’s leading granting foundations, OTF invested over $110 million into 1,022 community projects and partnerships last year.
“Non-profit organizations across Ontario deliver programming that makes a difference,” said Neil Lumsden, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport. “That’s why funding that my ministry is providing through the OTF is so important. Our government wants to ensure that these programs and spaces remain the heart of communities across our province.”
