Local resident wins $50,000 through holiday lottery game

An Alliston resident is celebrating after winning a MERRY MILLIONS $50,000 prize on Jan. 9.
Natalie Campbell said she had been a regular lottery player since she moved to Ontario around 25 years ago.
“My favourite games are LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49,” Natalie said. “I decided to try MERRY MILLIONS because it’s new.”
Natalie, a public service worker, picked up her winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
She checked her tickets on the OLG app and discovered she won.
“I hadn’t had my coffee yet so I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” Natalie said. “I told my husband to look at the ticket and we high-fived and celebrated together over coffee. I was so distracted all day – it was hard to focus my mind!”
She said she plans to put her win toward bills, treat herself to a trip, buy a new golf bag, and share some winnings with her husband.
“I have a bottle of wine I’ve been saving for a special occasion, and I think this is it,” Natalie said.
