On Saturday, March 6, My Sister’s Place, the local women and children’s shelter, located in Alliston, hosted its annual Hats, Heels and High Tea fundraiser in support of the shelter and its residents.
The event saw the gymnasium at the Tottenham Community & Fitness Centre transformed into a beautiful spring garden – where finger foods and hot tea were served to ladies of the community wearing their “Saturday Best”, complete with wide brimmed hats and fascinators.
This is the second annual Hats, Heels and High Tea fundraiser for MSP, held in conjunction with International Women’s Day (officially on Sunday, March 8). Tickets sold in advance for $25 – and 100 per cent of the proceeds used to support women and children in crisis at the shelter – where, sadly, beds are usually full year-round.
This year’s event featured live music, prizes for the best hat or fascinator, and loot bags for all.
MSP wishes to thank their 2020 Bronze Sponsors: Lomonte & Collings Insurance, David Humphries as well as Debbie Hudson from TD Wealth Private Wealth Management.
