Man under house arrest charged with breaching bail conditions in New Tecumseth

Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers have laid charges against an individual in New Tecumseth following a breach of court-ordered conditions.
On Thursday, July 31, shortly before 12:30 p.m., officers were conducting general patrols in the area of Young Street in Alliston when they observed a male known to police, travelling in the area, who is currently bound by a house arrest condition.
Upon further investigation, officers confirmed the individual was in violation of his release conditions.
As a result, Kody Berdan, 36, of New Tecumseth, was placed under arrest and charged with the following offence:
- Failure to comply with release order
- Failure to comply with probation order
The accused individual was held for a bail hearing and are to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
The listed charges have not been proven in court.
