McDonald’s restaurants in Alliston and Angus showed support for the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation by donating $10,000 from this year’s McHappy Day fundraiser, held on May 8.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to McDonald’s in Alliston & Angus for their outstanding achievement in raising $10,000 for the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation during McHappy Day,” said Melody McLean, Director of Development and Campaign Manager for SMHF. “Witnessing local businesses like McDonald’s join forces with community members to foster positive change is truly inspiring.”
McHappy Day is held across the country by McDonald’s restaurants. The day raised funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities as well as other charitable causes selected by local store owners.
“We are grateful to SMHF and the numerous community volunteers who contributed to the success of McHappy Day,” said Rory MacKinnon, Owner and Operator of McDonald’s in Alliston and Angus. “The enthusiasm and generosity from our community is remarkable. We are proud to be able to be able to support Ronald McDonald House Charities and other community charities such as the Stevenson Memorial Hospital.”
SMHF’s Because of you, we can Campaign aims to redevelop the hospital. It is the largest campaign in SMHF’s history. Donations received help purchase essential equipment, upgrade technology, and complete critical renovations essential to the transformation and redevelopment of Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
