Questions by Wendy Gabrek

Full Name: Adam Minatel

Town of Residence: Tottenham

Length of time living in Simcoe–Grey: 2 years

Primary reason you’re running: To protect the rights and freedoms of all Canadians.

Political Experience: None

Campaign objectives: End all COVID mandates and vaccine passports. Ensure all businesses remain open and never lockdown. Provide fiscal responsibility within government to establish economic prosperity for future generations.

What is your leadership style and how will that positively impact the riding?

I believe in transformational leadership where I can create a vision and/or goals based on the needs identified in the riding. [Inspiring] and motivating team members to act on specific goals or plans to create change where it is needed.

What are the most important challenges facing the riding of Simcoe-Grey today?

On the campaign trail, the two main concerns that come up are freedom of choice and affordable homes. The PPC will stop government spending, thus curbing inflation. This will bring consumer purchasing power back through a stronger dollar allowing people to afford homes in the Simcoe Grey region. The PPC will end all COVID mandates thus taking away governmental rule and allowing every individual to exert their own personal responsibility.

What is your policy/opinion on COVID-19 passports, vaccinations?

I whole heartedly disagree with mandating vaccines and vaccine passports. I truly believe that decision should be left to every individual and parent. No one should be forced or coerced into doing something they are uncomfortable with, especially when it comes to their medical autonomy. We have never forced treatment on any individual in the past. Vaccine passports will only lead to discrimination and segregation.

As it pertains to COVID-19 specifically, what can our riding do to ensure the safety of community members now, and into the future? (What has COVID-19 taught us?)

We can ensure safety of all Canadians by allowing them the freedom to choose how and what they are comfortable with.  The government does not need to dictate daily lives of adult Canadians. This is a free and democratic society, every individual needs to assert personal responsibility within their own day to day lives.

As it pertains to New Tecumseth specifically, what can constituents expect under your leadership?

Treat everyone with respect and fairness and allow everyone to live their life without fear of discrimination.

What are your thoughts on the timing of this election?

It is a rushed election.

What are your priorities for change in our riding – both in the short-term and in the long term?

We must provide affordable homes to people with entry level jobs and for our future generations. Stop spending Canadian taxpayer dollars in foreign countries and spend it on Canadian businesses.
