Morningview Match Campaign inspires over $500,000 in donations to SMHF

The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation has released figures from the Morningview Match donation program.
The Thanks A Million! campaign was started in April when the Morningview Foundation announced it would match dollar-for-dollar, donations given in support of the hospital redevelopment “Because of you, we can” initiative up to $1 million.
The Foundation announced on August 10, that since the introduction of the Morningview campaign, more than half of the $1 million matching gift has been used to double the generosity of the local community.
This means that more than half a million dollars has been donated by community members and partners, and each of those dollars has been doubled.
“We all know kindness creates more kindness, but the matching gift from the Morningview Foundation has proven just how far generosity can go,” said Mary Thomas, CEO of Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation. “Because of the Morningview Foundation’s matching gift, more than $500,000 in gifts have already been matched, doubling the impact of each donation that is helping to revitalize our hospital. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Morningview Foundation for encouraging this sort of kindness in our communities.”
With $500,000 remaining to match donations, the Foundation is encouraging community members to step and donate and see their contribution doubled by the Morningview Foundation.
