MPP Brian Saunderson appointed as Ontario Minister of Sport

Brian Saunderson, MPP for Simcoe-Grey, has been appointed Ontario Minister of Sport.
MPP Saunderson was called to Queen’s Park on Thursday, Sept. 10, to meet with Premier Doug Ford.
First elected in 2022, he has represented the Simcoe-Grey riding for four years.
Minister of Sport is a fitting position for MPP Saunderson. As a former Olympic rower, he competed in the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics.
“I am incredibly honoured to join Premier Ford’s cabinet and serve as Ontario’s Minister of Sport,” he said. “Sports brings people together, builds stronger communities and creates opportunities for people of all ages. I’m excited to get to work and help more Ontario families experience everything sport has to offer.”
