Multi-vehicle collision in Tottenham

On Saturday, April 16, at approximately 9:35 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP officers, New Tecumseth Fire and Rescue Service and Simcoe County Paramedic Services responded to a multiple vehicle collision on Mill Street East, Tottenham. A motor vehicle was travelling westbound at a high rate of speed crossing the railroad tracks, losing control and striking a stopped vehicle unloading passengers, along with five parked vehicles. The operator of the motor vehicle was later transported to a Toronto hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing. Police said this is another example of unnecessary excessive speed causing injury and damage on our roadways.
