The North Dufferin Baseball League (NBDL) Senior division is now well into the second half of the regular season schedule, with a real battle shaping up between teams hoping to get a playoff berth.

The Bolton Brewers are on top in the league with a successful season that so far has produced 12 wins after 14 games. The Brewers have taken only two losses and played one game to a tie this year.

In second place, the Ivy Rangers have recorded 11 wins after 13 games this season.

They are followed by the New Lowell Knights with an 11-2 record and the Clearview Orioles with a 9-4-1 record so far this season.

In fifth place, the Barrie Angels are having a good season with nine wins after 14 games.

The Creemore Padres are right behind in sixth place with a 7-4-2 record.

The Midland Mariners and Lisle Astros will be challenging for the number six playoff berth.

Midland has five wins after 14 games and is in seventh place. Lisle is close behind with four wins after 13 games.

The remaining teams have little chance of making the playoffs this season.

The Owen Sound Baysox have won three games this season and are in ninth place. They are followed by the Mansfield Cubs with two wins, the Clarksburg Blues with two wins, and the Orillia Majors, who have managed to win only one game after 12 outings this season.

The NDBL regular season will continue through July, with the final game scheduled for July 29 before the teams head into the playoffs.
