New Tecumseth man Derek Perry remains missing for over one year

The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the public’s assistance to locate a person who has been missing for over one year.

Derek PERRY, a resident of New Tecumseth, was 34 years old when he was reported missing on June 17, 2023. Over a year later, the OPP continues its search and is actively seeking information about his whereabouts.

Derek is described as 5’11” with a medium build and short brown hair. He was known to frequent the Alliston and Barrie areas.

Investigators are concerned for Derek’s well-being and the investigation is continuing under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

“Thanksgiving is just around the corner, a time to share special moments with family and friends. The OPP is determined to bring resolution to Derek’s loved ones, who are deeply missing him this time of the year. Anyone with information, no matter how small, is urged to come forward in hopes of reconnecting Derek with family and friends,” said Detective Inspector Jane Conway, major case manager for the Nottawasaga OPP.
