If you have had care from a nurse who you think really made a difference in the way they treated you, you can choose to publicly thank that person for their efforts.
Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston is inviting patients, families, and community members to recognize the extraordinary contributions of its nursing team by submitting a nomination for the Award of Excellence in Nursing as part of Nursing Week 2026.
Nurses play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care every day. This award celebrates those who go above and beyond to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones.
If you or someone you care for has received exceptional care from a nurse at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, you are encouraged to share your experience.
You can nominate any Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), or Nurse Practitioner (NP) who provided care at Stevenson Memorial Hospital between April 2025 and April 2026.
When you submit your nomination, you should include a personal story that highlights exceptional patient care and dedication, and provide specific examples of going above and beyond.
Include the impact the nurse had on you or your loved one, and how they demonstrated Stevenson Memorial Hospital’s commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
All nominations must be received by April 27, 2026.
A selection committee will review submissions, and the recipient will be recognized during Nursing Week 2026 (May 11 to 17).
You can nominate a nurse by visiting the Stevenson Memorial Hospital website.
