Nominations open for 13th annual Newcomer Recognition Awards

The County of Simcoe has announced that nominations are now open for the 13th annual Newcomer Recognition Awards.
Community members are invited to submit nominations recognizing outstanding individuals, organizations, and businesses that have made meaningful contributions to the lives of newcomers in Simcoe County.
Nominations will be accepted until Sept. 19, 2025.
The Simcoe County Local Immigration Partnership has hosted this event for the past 12 years to celebrate the outstanding contributions of community leaders and champions who take decisive action to enhance the lives of newcomers in Simcoe County.
Gold sponsor, Honda Canada Mfg., has provided tremendous support for this project.
Individuals, organizations, and businesses can be nominated for the following categories:
- Immigrant mentor
- Inclusive housing practices
- Service Excellence
- Small business owner
- Educator excellence
- Youth community champion
- Ethnocultural
- Newcomer inclusive service delivery
- Immigrant artist
