Nominations open for Award of Excellence in Nursing at local hospital

If you or a family member received care from, or interacted with, a nurse and thought they had provided an outstanding level of service, you can make your appreciation known by submitting their name for an Award of Excellence in Nursing. 

Stevenson Memorial Hospital is asking residents of New Tecumseth and the surrounding communities to nominate one of the hospital’s nurses for the award who has shown dedication to their profession and provided compassionate patient care.

You can submit your nomination via e-mail.

To submit a nomination, you should include the first and last name of the nurse and where the care or association took place. This can include a hospital ward, health care location, department or organization. You should include the approximate dates of care provided or the date of association with the nurse.

Also include your name, daytime telephone number, and relationship with the nurse.

For your nomination, you should provide a personal account explaining why this particular nurse deserves to be recognized with the Award of Excellence in Nursing. Your submission should be at least 250 words and up to 500 words.

Nurses may not be nominated by a member of their family.

The interaction must have taken place between April 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023.

Nominees must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
