The Nottawasaga Foundation continued its support of the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) by delivering the eighth installment of $100,000 toward its $1 million commitment.
This pledge, made to celebrate the Nottawasaga Foundation’s 25th Anniversary in 2017, supports the hospital’s ‘Because of you, we can’ campaign.
This funding will contribute to the hospital’s much-needed redevelopment project and help meet critical equipment and technology needs.
“We are honoured to fulfill our annual commitment of $100,000 as part of our $1 million pledge,” the Nottawasaga Foundation said in a statement. “Supporting Stevenson’s redevelopment, equipment, and technology requirements align with our mission to enhance healthcare services in our community.”
The Because of you, we can campaign is the largest campaign in SMHF’s history. Donations received help purchase essential equipment, upgrade technology, and complete critical renovations essential to the transformation and redevelopment of Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
The Biffis family and the Nottawasaga Foundation have been steadfast supporters of Stevenson Memorial Hospital for many years. They have notable involvement in critical projects such as introducing digital mammography services and supporting the Obstetrics and Birthing Unit.
“Thank you to the Nottawasaga Foundation and the Biffis Family for their continued support,” said Barbara Steed, Interim President and CEO of Stevenson Memorial Hospital. “Their generous contributions are vital to the success of our redevelopment project, which will transform our hospital and help ensure we can meet the growing healthcare needs of our community.”
Frank Cerisano, CEO of SMHF, added, “The Nottawasaga Foundation and the Biffis Family have once again demonstrated their leadership and commitment to our cause. Their ongoing support is a cornerstone of our fundraising efforts and helps ensure quality healthcare remains accessible to all community members.”
