Nottawasaga OPP arrest driver asleep at the wheel

The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has charged an Adjala-Tosorontio man for driving while impaired in the Town of New Tecumseth.
On Nov. 12, just before 8:30 a.m., Nottawasaga OPP responded to a report of a driver asleep behind the wheel of his motor vehicle. The incident occurred on Young Street in Alliston.
No injuries were reported.
As a result of the investigation, Brant MacDonald, 43, of Adjala-Tosorontio, was charged with Adult Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs.
In addition to the charges, the driver was issued a 90-day license suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on December 26, 2024, to answer to the charges.
The impaired driving charge has not been proven in court.
