The Ontario Hockey Federation has made the decision to remove its COVID-19 vaccination policy for the 2022 / 23 season.

The season begins with the start of spring evaluations on April 25, 2022.

At the start of the spring tryouts the policy will not be in place and will not continue for the rest of the season.

The OHF is warning that the situation may change depending on health unit and government directives, citing the changing situation over the past two years.

They are still encouraging players and everyone involved in hockey and are eligible, to be vaccinated.

“We will continue to follow the direction of the Government of Ontario’s Public Health guidelines,” the OHF said in a statement. “As we’ve seen over the last two seasons, this comes with an understanding that this guidance may change over the coming months as the COVID-19 situation can still evolve.”

All programs, regardless of size or level, are required to adhere to all public health, municipal, and facility policies and directives, even if they are more restrictive than the current provincial guidelines.
