HTPK is a community based organization that has been operating in the Tottenham, Beeton and surrounding areas since 2007 with the mandate to provide children with the funding to participate in a recreational activity, outside of regular school and home environments, where their parents / guardians are unable to do so.
This donation from The Nottawasaga Foundation will assist HTPK with their ongoing efforts throughout the year. For more information on HTPK please visit www.helpthekidsplay.ca.
The Nottawasaga Foundation, formed in 2001, was established as a public foundation to carry on the spirit of the Nottawasaga Resort’s previous years’ highly successful Stevenson Memorial Hospital fundraisers. The main objective of the Foundation was to expand the scope of funding to include local charities that provide invaluable service to our community. We have been proud to support many community charities in our area including:
The Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Sir Frederick Banting Homestead, Children’s Aid Society, Community Living Association of South Simcoe, South Simcoe Arts Council, Local Food Banks (Alliston, Angus and Tottenham), Matthews House Hospice, Banting High School Scholarship & Breakfast Club, Simcoe County Museum, Alliston Legion Memorial Cenotaph, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Conservation Ontario, The Learning Centre Breakfast Program, Town of New Tecumseth Sledge Hockey Program, Alliston & District Humane Society and many other Simcoe County charities of community significance.
