Orientation session for enrolling children in kindergarten coming to local schools

The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) is soon holding school orientation sessions for parents looking to enroll their children in kindergarten.
These sessions are held as an important connection point for parents as their children get ready to start school.
They provide families with the opportunity to engage with their school community. Future kindergarten students and their parents or guardians meet educators and community partners, find out what and how they will learn in Kindergarten, and get an introduction to their school community.
Locally, sessions will be held at the following locations:
- Tecumseth South Central Public School on May 20 at 4:30 p.m.
- Tottenham Public School on May 28 at 4:30 p.m.
- Boyne River Public School on May 28 at 4:30 p.m.
- Tecumseth Beeton Elementary School on May 28 at 4:30 p.m.
- Alliston Union Public School on June 4 at 4:30 p.m.
- Ernest Cumberland Elementary School on June 4 at 5 p.m
Anyone with a child who is turning four in 2026 that has not yet registered for school can register now, and attend their school’s Kindergarten orientation in May or June.
