Parliament Auto Body donates $5,000 to SMHF

The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation’s ‘Because of you, we can’ campaign received a boost from a local business.

Parliament Auto Body in Alliston has donated $5,000 to the campaign.

“We are grateful to Parliament Auto Body for their generous $5,000 donation,” said Mary Thomas, CEO of Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF). “With this contribution, Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation can continue to make an impact on healthcare initiatives, ensuring a brighter and healthier future for our community. Thank you for standing with us in our mission to provide exceptional healthcare close to home.”

SMHF is also grateful to Parliament Auto Body for their support as a community partner. The Auto Body shop provided SMHF with access to its indoor space, which played a role in the successful creation and dismantling of the Foundation’s 2023 Alliston Rotary Santa Claus Night Lit Parade float.

Without this assistance, the annual festive tradition would not have been possible.

“I am passionate about my community and honoured to support Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation,” said Rick Parliament, owner of Parliament Auto Body. “Having personally witnessed the dedication and compassion of the staff during visits from my team, it has become clear to me how vital their work is for the well-being of our community.”

The ‘Because of you, we can” campaign is the largest campaign in SMHF’s history, with donations helping purchase essential equipment, upgrade technology, and complete critical renovations essential to the transformation and redevelopment of the hospital.
