Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Essa

Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a traffic hazard on County Road 10 in Essa shortly before midnight on Jan. 18.
Officers attended County Road 10 between 25th Sideroad and Willoughby Road for a report of a female laying on the edge of the road. Police attended the area and were unable to locate anyone.
Shortly after, officers were contacted by a female stating she was walking along County Road 10 in the area of civic number 8085 when she was struck by a vehicle. Officers were able to locate and speak to the female at which time she was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing, police are asking anyone with information or dash cam footage in relation to this incident to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 Reference (E250070382).
