Police discover human remains in Alliston’s Boyne River

Officers conducting foot patrols in the area of King Street and the Boyne River on Saturday, Aug. 15, shortly after 11:30 a.m., made the grim discovery of human remains.
The preliminary information suggests this is an isolated incident with no signs of a broader threat.
Police resources have cleared the area.
The Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit is investigating in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
