Potato Festival features new talent show for dogs

June 2, 2022   ·   0 Comments

The Alliston Potato Festival is returning this year after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

With the return of the festival, organizers have come up with a few new ideas to refresh the line-up.

If you have a pooch that you think is special, you might want to take note of the Strut Your Mutt Talent Show that will be taking place this year.

Maybe your dog has some talents beyond that of shaking a paw, or rolling over on command.

Maybe you think your dog rates very high on the “cute scale.”

You can enter your pet in a variety of categories and see how they stack up against the competition.

There will be an award for fluffiest tail, best costume, most unique markings/coat, best trick/talent, the cutest dog, and there will be a grand champion.

You can pre-register your pet for the contest at: http://bit.ly/AllistonPotatoFestivalDogShow.

Registration is $5 per division with all proceeds going to the Lost Boys Hope Dog Rescue.

You can enter in as many categories as you want.

There will be prizes and ribbons for first place in each division and there will be one grand champion who can take home the bragging rights.

The Strut Your Mutt Talent Show will take place on Sunday, August 7.

Be prepared to arrive at 12:30 p.m.

The show will start at 1:00 p.m.
