The Alliston Potato Festival returned on the weekend and thousands of people, both local residents, and visitors from outside of the area, turned out for the big event.
Kicked off by the Friday night parade through the centre of Town, the streets were lined with everyone waiting to see what this year’s parade would bring, and they weren’t disappointed.
Saturday was non-stop action. From thrilling rides at the midway, to all sorts of events, live music, food, the KidsZone, and vendors, there was something for everyone.
Victoria Street was closed to traffic on Saturday, as thousands of people walked along the street, watching the bands, visiting different vendor booths, and taking in all the performances by different groups.
It has been three years since there has been a potato festival, and organizers did a terrific job of keeping the weekend packed with excitement to make up for the missing years.
