The Coldest Night of the Year walk has a special meaning.
It reminds people of what it is like to be homeless when the cold weather starts and you are living on the street without proper shelter.
S.H.I.F.T. in Alliston is calling on everyone to bundle up, brave the cold, and walk in support of those experiencing or at risk of homelessness or struggling with a low income in the community.
The Coldest Night of the Year is a community walk to raise funds and awareness for S.H.I.F.T. They need your help to make this year’s walk the most successful one yet.
Every contribution counts when you sign up to walk, volunteer, or donate in support of a friend’s efforts.
The cold is guaranteed, but there will be hot beverages, cozy vibes, and the power of community to keep you moving forward on the walk.
The Coldest Night of the Year walk occurs on Saturday, Feb. 22, starting at 49 Nelson St. W., Alliston.
