If you have a young child who is ready to start kindergarten at the beginning of the next school year, the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) is now registering children for classes in the fall.
Children turning four in 2023 can start school in September.
Families can start the registration process on the registration page on the SCDSB website. Upon completion of the online form, your child’s school will contact you to finalize the registration.
The site will provide information on which school your child will attend based on your home address.
You can check the ‘about us’ page on each school’s website to find the name of the school’s principal and trustee, the school address and contact information. This also includes school start and end times, and which bus zone the school is in.
Parents and guardians registering a child for the first time at an SCDSB school can complete the student registration form online.
When registering, you will need to provide birth date documentation, proof of the child’s address, and a record of immunization. The Immunization of School Pupils Act collects and maintains immunization records for every child registered in school.
For more information, including details on registration and required documents, visit the kindergarten page on the SCDSB website, or contact your local school.
