A benefit concert in support of CONTACT Community Services in Alliston will feature a world-renowned vocalist.

Mezzo Soprano Simone McIntosh, along with collaborative pianist, Rachael Kerr, will perform at a concert hosted by The Elden of Bradford Retirement Residence. The concert will take place at St. John’s Presbyterian Church of Bradford.

The event will unite the power of music with the impact of community services and is made possible through the support of The Elden Bradford Retirement Residence and St. John’s Presbyterian Church.

Simone McIntosh has established herself as an exceptional talent in the world of opera for her breathtaking performances ranging from classical opera to contemporary works.

Her voice has captivated audiences around the globe, earning widespread acclaim and making her one of today’s most sought-after Mezzo-Sopranos.

Simone will also be performing at the Canadian Opera Company throughout the month of February.

Rachael Kerr is a versatile coach and pianist. She is the head coach for the Canadian Opera Company’s production of Cunning Little Vixen, and rehearsals pianist on Fidelio, and Don Paskquale this season.

For Simone, this concert is coming from a place of love. Simone’s grandmother is a resident of The Elden of Bradford. In the truest spirit of family, Simone is performing for her grandmother, while making a positive impact on the Bradford community, by choosing to support people in need through CONTACT Community Services.

“It was important to me to be able to perform for my grandmother and the Elden residents while also broadening the impact to an organization that supports seniors in the Bradford community,” Simone said.

The concert will take place on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased in person at The Eldon of Bradford or online at www.contactcommunityservices.ca and by visiting the ‘upcoming events’ page.

All funds raised from this event will support CONTACT Community Services’ many programs and services.
