If you’re Canadian, you know what the winter weather can bring – lots of snow, cold temperatures, and tricky driving.
While many people like to hibernate during the winter months, others take advantage of the snow to experience activities that can only happen during the coldest season.
With the snow and ice comes skating, pond hockey, tobogganing and sledding, skiing and snowboarding, ice fishing, snowshoe hiking, snowmobiling, and, for the extremists – a dip in a river or lake for a polar bear swim.
You can turn a cold winter day into a fun day of activity at Winterfest 2024.
Winterfest is sponsored by the Town of New Tecumseth and will be a full fun-filled day of activities that will take place at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre.
What better way to celebrate the winter season than by enjoying a variety of cold-weather activities?
More information about the specific activities at this year’s event will be announced soon.
Winterfest will take place at the NTRC on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
