Residents in Alliston and Tottenham are being advised of road closures that will take place to accommodate Halloween festivities on two separate days.
The road closures are necessary to create a fun, safe environment, as many children and their parents will be enjoying activities along the streets.
Alliston
In Alliston, two roads will be closed for the Alliston Monster Mash.
Victoria Street between Centre Street and Elizabeth Street, and Church Street South between Victoria Street and Wellington Street will be closed on Saturday, Oct. 24, between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Tottenham
In Tottenham, the Frightfully Fun Family event will take over the streets as trick-or-treaters will be visiting various businesses in town.
Queen Street, from George Street to Dillane Street, and Mill Street, from Walkem Drive to McGoey Drive, will be closed from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, to accommodate the event.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted detour routes, and allow additional travel time in the area.
These temporary road closures are necessary to ensure everyone’s safety during these events.
