It was a true feast for the eyes, as the Rotary Club of Alliston presented its 12th annual Night Lit Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, November 24.
Despite the drizzle, thousands of people took to the main street of Alliston to catch a glimpse of the Man in Red, and the dozens of floats representing community businesses.
Prior to the parade, the Alliston BIA welcomed residents to stroll through the downtown and check out decorated store windows
and, in lieu of one big tree this year, all of the miniature Fraser Firs lining Victoria.
The Parade was emceed by Rotarians David Green and Patricia Middlebrook, who gave commentary for as the floats “floated” past.
The award winners for the 2018 Rotary Club of Alliston Night Lit Santa Claus parade were:
• Connexus Community Church – Best Overall
• Alliston Pentecostal Church – Best Use of Traditional Theme
• JJ Towing & Recovery – Most Unique
• Connexus Community Church – WOW Factor
