Russell deCarle returning to Beeton for one-night performance

You may remember Russell deCarle from his days as lead singer and bassist with the Prairie Oyster band.
During his tenure with the band, he earned six Juno Awards and more than a dozen Canadian Country Music Awards, and had numerous gold and platinum records.
As a songwriter, he has been honoured with two SOCAN Song of the Year awards.
After a successful and audience-thrilling performance with his band in Beeton in 2024, deCarle is returning to an area he is very familiar with for another performance in September.
“I started playing in Tottenham Hotel with the King City Slickers,” Russell said. “We played in the basement there, around 1970-71. We also played at the Loretto Tavern and the Windsor House in Alliston, as well as the Muddy Water, which was then called the Beetonia, [and] we played in the Beehive Lounge. I am excited to be coming back to Beeton. I always enjoyed playing for audiences in the area and hope to see some familiar faces in the crowd.”
During the Beeton concert, he will perform everything from new music to obscure cover tunes.
Russell deCarle will be performing at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (128 Main St. W., Beeton) on Friday, Sept. 27, with a 7:30 p.m. start.
