Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police’s Major Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Hawkesbury OPP and Laval Police, have charged a seventh individual in relation to an arson investigation in Adjala-Tosorontio.
Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Laval, Quebec, on Wednesday, June 10, where the accused was arrested in relation to an investigation that began in the fall of 2024 after multiple unoccupied homes in new subdivisions in Adjala-Tosorontio were set on fire. The homes were all in the new Colgan subdivisions.
Six individuals were already charged in the case after search warrants were executed in December 2025.
Those individuals charged were all from Toronto and Mississauga, and they were charged with ‘Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence, S. 465(1)(c), and Arson, S. 434.
As a result of this latest search warrant, Ramin Lazar, 34, of Laval, Quebec, has been charged with:
• Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
• Arson
The accused was released with a future court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford.
The charges have not been proven in court.
