The Museum on the Boyne in Alliston is hosting a line-up of festive winter events for families, makers and history enthusiasts.

Whether you are looking to create handmade holiday decor, visit Santa, or celebrate New Year’s Eve with your little ones, the museum has something for everyone this winter.

Santa’s Cozy Cabin

Step into the warmth of Santa’s Cozy Cabin.

You can enjoy a visit with Santa that includes a printed photo, a festive scavenger hunt, holiday crafts, and a magical story time. Bring the whole family and create timeless holiday memories in a setting filled with old-fashioned charm and seasonal sparkle.

Some of the program will be held outdoors, so dress for the weather.

The event occurs on Nov. 28. Time slots are available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The cost is $15.

Antique Winter Workshop

Join the fun with a cozy and creative historical crafting experience. Learn traditional crafting techniques and create holiday decor inspired by holidays of the past.

Participants will make items such as dried orange garlands, tin-punch ornaments, and candles on Dec. 12 and 19, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The event is available to anyone age 16 and up. The cost is $20 per workshop.

Noon Year’s Eve Party

Ring in the new year early with your young ones.

Families are invited to enjoy holiday crafts, hands-on activities, and festive fun designed especially for children.

If midnight is a little too late, celebrate at noon instead and start the New Year with an afternoon of family-friendly fun.

The event occurs on Dec. 31, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., with a $5 cost of admission.

You can register for events by visiting the Town of New Tecumseth’s website at: www.newtecumseth.ca
