Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation has announced a $20,000 from Somerville Nurseries that will go to the ongoing ‘Because of you, we can’ campaign

The significant donation, matched dollar-for-dollar, as part of the matching gift from The Morningview Foundation, will support the greatest needs of Stevenson Memorial Hospital.

Established around 1950, Somerville Nurseries Inc. is a family-owned business rooted in Simcoe and Dufferin County and began by cultivating various Pine and Spruce varieties. Today, Somerville Nurseries thrives as a multifaceted enterprise with three distinct divisions: Christmas trees, ornamental nursery stock, and bare root seedlings.

“We thank Somerville Nurseries Inc. for their generous $20,000 donation,” said Mary Thomas, CEO of the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation. “This contribution exemplifies their commitment to the health and well-being of our community, and we are truly grateful for their ongoing support when striving to bring the best quality healthcare to those in New Tecumseth and surrounding areas.”

As entrepreneurial mentors in the community, Somerville Nurseries takes pride in the local area as exemplified through this donation.

Donations to the ‘Because of you, we can’ campaign help purchase essential equipment, upgrade technology, and complete critical renovations essential to the transformation and redevelopment of Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
