South Simcoe Police seize fentanyl, cocaine when executing search warrant

South Simcoe Police executed a search warrant at a Bradford address on Oct. 7 that resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of a large quantity of drugs, cash and tools used for theft.

The South Simcoe Police’s investigation began on Sept. 23 following several reports of thefts from vehicles in Bradford West Gwillimbury and obtained a search warrant.

“I want to commend our investigators for their diligent and tireless work in executing this search warrant and on their efforts to eliminating drugs from our communities,” said South Simcoe Police Service Chief John Van Dyke.

“Their hard work led to the arrests and the seizure of 39 grams of suspected fentanyl, 106 grams of suspected cocaine, and a quantity of pills.”

The three individuals who were arrested, as a result of the search warrant have been charged with several property and drug related offences.

A 36-year-old male from Bradford has been charged with:

  • Theft over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 (five counts)
  • Possession of proceeds of Crime
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule 1 (three counts
  • Possession of a controlled substance (three counts)
  • Fail to comply with probation order

A 34-year-old female from Bradford has been charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (six counts)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule 1 substance (three counts)
  • Possession of a controlled substance (three counts)

A 35-year-old female from Bradford has been charged with the following offences:

  • Theft over $5000 (two counts)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 (two counts)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Fail to comply with probation (two counts)
