Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston has announced leadership changes and updates on its redevelopment project.
Leadership
The Board of Directors has appointed Dr. Ted Vandevis as interim CEO of the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF). The appointment is effective immediately.
Dr. Vandevis will serve in this role while the board’s CEO Resource Committee conducts a comprehensive search for a permanent CEO.
Dr. Vandevis brings deep knowledge of the organization, a strong commitment to the community, and a steady hand during this transition period.
There are also updates to the SMHF board’s leadership.
Fayaaz Kala has been appointed board chair.
Gary Sim has been appointed first vice chair and treasurer.
Both individuals bring valuable experience, dedication, and a shared commitment to advancing the foundation’s mission in support of Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
Redevelopment project
The hospital has announced that the redevelopment construction contract has been awarded to Pomerleau Inc., in partnership with Infrastructure Ontario.
This marks a significant step forward in delivering critical infrastructure that will support exceptional care for the community for generations to come.
The board says it remains confident in the foundation’s direction and appreciates the continued support from donors, partners, and community members.
