The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation announced it received a donation of $13,870 from the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
This contribution will help fund the purchase of an ambulatory 24-hour blood pressure monitor with accessories and a new ECG machine.
This will enhance diagnostic capabilities at Stevenson Memorial Hospital and improve patient care.
Both pieces of equipment play a critical role in the early detection and monitoring of cardiovascular conditions.
The ambulatory blood pressure monitor allows for continuous blood pressure tracking over 24 hours, providing accurate data to assist in diagnosing and managing hypertension.
The ECG machine records heart activity, aiding in the identification of irregular heart rhythms and other cardiac concerns.
Together, these tools will help ensure that patients receive timely and accurate diagnoses.
“The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary’s generosity continues to make a meaningful impact on patient care by directly supporting our ‘Because of You, We Can’ Campaign,” said Frank Cerisano, chief executive officer at the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation. “Every piece of equipment funded strengthens the ability to provide service to our patients. The Auxiliary’s dedication to funding much needed equipment is critical to ensure we continue to stay at the forefront of high-quality healthcare.”
The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, a dedicated group of volunteers, has been supporting SMH through fundraising and service initiatives since 2001. Over the years, their contributions have played a vital role in helping the hospital acquire essential medical equipment.
“We are proud to continue our tradition of giving to Stevenson Memorial Hospital,” said Gary Munro, president of the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. “Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we can provide funding for important medical equipment that directly improves patient care. We look forward to continuing our work in support of the hospital and the well-being of those who rely on its services.”
This donation underscores the Auxiliary’s long-standing dedication to enhancing healthcare in the region.
Through initiatives such as Tag Days and Annual Raffle sales, the Auxiliary has made a significant impact on SMH’s ability to provide top-tier medical care.
