Stevenson Memorial Hospital encourages excellence award nominations for deserving nurses

Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) is inviting residents of New Tecumseth and surrounding communities to recognize the exceptional contributions of its nursing team by nominating a nurse for the SMH Award of Excellence in Nursing.
If you or a loved one have received outstanding care from a registered nurse, registered nurse practitioner or nurse practitioner at SMH, they want to hear about it.
This award honours nurses who exemplify dedication, compassion, and commitment to excellence in patient care.
Nominations should include a personal account explaining why the nurse deserves this recognition.
Consider highlighting exceptional patient care and dedication, the impact they have made on you or your loved ones, and how they embody SMH’s mission, vision, and values, fostering an environment of compassionate, high-quality care.
To be eligible for nomination, a nurse must have provided care at SMH between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025.
When completing a nomination, you must enter the nurse’s full name, the department where they provided care, dates of care, your name and email, and your relationship with the nurse.

Nominations should be submitted by Wednesday, May 1.
A panel of judges will select the recipient who will be honoured during Nursing Week, which runs May 12 to 18 this year.
