Stevenson Memorial Hospital issues fraud alert

Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH)has issued an alert about fraudulent activity happening in the community with regard to advertising in a “Hospital Activity Guide.”
An individual is approaching local businesses and soliciting advertising space in what they claim is a “Hospital Activity Guide” that will be distributed to local hospitals, including SMH.
The hospital said it has no affiliation with any such publication.
They are urging businesses and individuals to exercise caution and remain vigilant when approached for requests regarding any hospital-related publication.
SMH said it is taking the matter very seriously and are actively working with local law enforcement to investigate.
