A new Community Advisory Council at Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) is looking for local residents who would like to contribute to the planning of healthcare services in the community.
Eric Hanna was appointed supervisor of the hospital in September by the Ministry of Health.
Mr. Hanna is creating this new Advisory Council to provide consultation and feedback during his term at SMH.
The Supervisor will appoint a council of up to 12 community members representing diverse groups and perspectives with knowledge of various areas of the healthcare system. They should reside in the SMH catchment area.
Potential committee members should have an elevating patient and client experience in healthcare settings, communications and stakeholder engagement, have an interest in improving access to the healthcare system and have experience with hospital programs and services as well as governance processes and structures.
The Advisory Council will support the supervisor and provide advice, consultation, and feedback in connection with the supervisor’s term at SMH.
If you would like to be considered for a Community Advisory Council position, send an e-mail of interest before Oct. 18 at 4 p.m. to Sharon Crowe, executive assistant, at scrowe@smhosp.on.ca.
