Winners in the Branch 329 Royal Canadian Legion Speech Contest are rewarded with plaques and future speaking opportunities, as well as the bragging rights for a full year.
Their award winning speeches were heard Sunday afternoon, to a room filled with proud parents, siblings and school representatives – although the panel of four judges were listening for the subtleties that set them apart.
A difficult year this year for sure, confirms one unnamed judge.
