The annual Tottenham Bluegrass Festival will fill the Tottenham Conservation Area with three days of toe-tapping music at the end of June.

This is the 38th year the event has taken place in Tottenham.

Bluegrass music is a unique style featuring banjo, fiddle, guitar, bass, mandolin, and dobro with its roots in the Appalachian region of the U.S.

This year nine Bluegrass bands will be performing, with sets lasting up to an hour.

It’s an exciting line-up for the festival with each band having its own unique sound and performance making for an enjoyable weekend of music.

The line-up this year includes Maple Hill, Dusty Drifters, Ray Legere, Fiddleaires, Barrel Boys, Becky Buller and Ned Luberecki, Seth Mulder, Crooked Creek, and Special Consensus.

There will also be a kid’s band contest again this year.

The Festival kicks off on Friday, June 21, with the opening ceremonies at 5:30 p.m.

The first band will take the stage at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, the music will continue from 11 a.m. right through to 11 p.m.

On Sunday, four bands will perform with the closing ceremonies taking place at 2:45 p.m.

The Tottenham Bluegrass Festival takes place from Friday, June 21, to Sunday, June 23.
