Another park will be getting new playground equipment as the Town updates infrastructure.
Currently, the playground at the Beeton Community Park has already seen removal of the old equipment.
Now Eastern Park in Tottenham will be getting the same treatment as the old playground equipment will be removed and replaced.
The equipment has reached the end of its planned useful life. It is recommended that the asset replacement schedule be followed based on industry best practices.
Upon removal, staff will inspect all equipment components and salvage any pieces that can be put into spare parts inventory in case repairs are needed for similar equipment at parks around the Town while those parks await replacement.
A park design rendering is available showing the new equipment and placement in the park.
Removal of the current playground equipment is planned for this week.
The ground will then be prepped for the arrival of the new equipment.
Installation of the new equipment is slated to start on May 3.
