Tottenham Toot N’ Holler back on this year

The wildly popular Tottenham Toot N’ Holler town-wide garage sale is back on this year.

After missing the past two years due to pandemic concerns, the streets of Tottenham will once again be filled with activity as bargain hunters scour the driveways looking for a bargain or that special item that will be new to them.

The Toot N’ Holler was started by the Tottenham Community Improvement Association whose mandate was the beautification of the Town. The idea was residents could make some money through the garage sale and use the funds to beautify their property.

Although the Association no longer exists, the garage sale was so popular it continued every year.

There is a change in the date this year.

Traditionally the Toot N’ Holler was held on the last Saturday of April. However, that time of year can still be cool and the weather could be a little tricky.

An informal vote was held and 71 per cent of residents who voted thought it would be a good idea to move the date back a little to take advantage of warmer weather.

This year, the town-wide garage sale will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022.

There is no registration required – you just set up a table or place your larger items on the driveway.

In May, you will be able to add your address or the closest intersection to the Tottenham & Beeton District Chamber of Commerce Facebook event page to let people know you are participating and will have items for sale.

What you have decided to get rid of might just be the one thing someone else is looking for.
