Town launches program to improve agenda process

November 9, 2016   ·   0 Comments

The Town of New Tecumseth has launched a new web-based paperless agenda solution from iCompass Technologies, a leading innovator providing web-based paperless agenda software for local governments.
The Town has been working through the implementation of the program internally for council, management and staff.
“The transition to a paperless agenda system is expected to benefit the Town of New Tecumseth in a number of ways. A reduction in the number of paper packets printed for every meeting will save money and reduce our carbon footprint and a reduction in agenda preparation time will provide staff with an opportunity to focus on other important Town projects,” said New Tecumseth Mayor Rick Milne. “Most importantly, the Town has improved the public’s access to information online by launching the public CivicWeb portal on the Town web page.”
The public CivicWeb portal is an online hub providing information on council and committee meeting agendas, reports and minutes. The Town is excited to provide complete searchable access to agendas and supporting items from previous and upcoming meetings online.
The public CivicWeb portal provides the following features for the residents of New Tecumseth:
• Access to upcoming or past meetings using the calendar feature.
• Access to email notifications for upcoming meetings by joining our E-updates meeting subscription to receive a link to meeting agendas and reports.
• On-line search for council information on agendas, reports and minutes using E-resources.
• Ability to watch previously aired Rogers TV meeting broadcasts.
CivicWeb can be found through a link on the Town’s website (, or visit
