Town of New Tecumseth looking for committee members

The Town of New Tecumseth is looking for residents to join advisory committees.
The Town is committed to promoting community engagement through several committees, boards, and task forces.
Council appoints committee/board members at the beginning of a council term or when a vacancy arises. Descriptions of committees and application forms can be found online.
Application forms will only be available if applications are being accepted for a specified committee, board, or task force.
Currently, there are openings on the Appeal Committee for Dangerous Dogs and Canine Control.
This committee reviews and makes decisions on charges laid under the Town’s Canine Control and Kennel by-laws.
There are also openings on the Environmental Advisory Committee.
The mandate of the Environmental Advisory Committee is to be established after Council has completed its Strategic Plan.
The purpose of the Environmental Advisory Committee is to advise, assist, and make recommendations to Council with respect to environmental, sustainability and climate change issues.
Residents interested in being considered for either one of these committees can find an application form on the Town’s website at www.newtecumseth.ca.
