The town-owned property at 90 Prospect Street, adjacent to Beeton Community Park, at the intersection of Tecumseth Street North in Beeton, has been deemed surplus land to sell for potential future residential re-development.
A Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessment assessed the soil and groundwater quality, recommending remediation work be undertaken to obtain a Record of Site Condition in accordance with Ontario Regulation 153/04.
The fieldwork for this project generally includes excavation, including off-site disposal of impacted soils and groundwater, sampling and analysis of soil and groundwater, and backfill, including site restoration.
The contractor anticipates commencing the work during the week of Jan. 22, 2024, with substantial completion of the project anticipated by May 31, 2024.
It is expected that nearby residents may experience some delays and inconvenience during this time.
Local access will be maintained throughout this project.
For safety reasons, it is suggested that when walking or driving by the work zone, everyone follows and obeys instruction signage and the direction of traffic control personnel.
