Track your Plow app keeps residents informed in bad weather

December 9, 2021   ·   0 Comments

After a big snow fall, you may still have to leave home for work or other reasons, but you may be concerned about the state of the streets and roadways.

Now there is an app that allows you to check on which streets have been plowed and when they will be coming to your section of town.

The Town of New Tecumseth now has an app that allows you to track snow plows in real time.

The app will show an image of a plow at its latest location where it is actively deployed and is plowing or spreading material.

The map also shows by default the maintenance activity as it has occurred.

A green trail indicates a street has been cleared within the last eight hours. A Yellow trail means it has been cleared within the last eight to 16 hours. An Orange trail means the street has been plowed within the last 16 to 24 hours.

The “Track Your Snow Plow” app is available 24 hours per day and is updated automatically to provide residents with up-to-date information. The map indicates whether plows are on the street or plowing a sidewalk.

There is also a search address feature that is available where you can enter a specific address and the map will zoom to that location.

This new app can provide the information you need if you have to be out on the roads after a snow storm.
