The Town of New Tecumseth’s Track Your Plow web application provides local residents with information during a winter weather event.

You can learn which streets have been plowed and the time frame of when they were last serviced.

The information indicates if a street or road has been plowed within the last eight hours, between eight and 16 hours previous, within the 16 to 24 hours, and areas that have not been serviced.

Roads on the local map indicate Green (cleared recently), yellow (within the last 16 hours) and orange (cleared within the past 24 hours).

The Track Your Plow service is available 24/7 and is updated automatically to provide residents with up-to-date information.

A search address feature is also available. An address may be entered, and the map will zoom to a specific location.

After a winter snowfall, major roads are plowed first so emergency vehicles can pass safely. Smaller roads (local streets) are plowed afterward.

Primary roads are roads with the highest speeds and greatest volumes of traffic. Secondary roads are those with less traffic and usually connect residential roads to primary roads.

The Town is responsible for clearing snow and ice from 775 lane km of Town roads, 87 km of sidewalks, and 15 parking lots.
